If I remember correctly, there wasn't a huge amount of support for the historical aspect of the city in their survey, at least where tax dollars are concerned. Yet they soldier on with perservation and restoration while citizens voice concerns over code enforcement. So much for the survey establishing priorites. The survey was nothing more than a pet project, just like the mission site or the train. Something completely irrelevant to the citizens. The citizens only role is to keep funding it for the pet project owners.

Touché Rain Man,

The city leaders will respond by saying "RATHER THAN COMPLAIN, WHY DON'T YOU VOLUNTEER TO CLEAN IT UP?!?!?"

You see, our city leaders somehow got it in their mind that we are suppose to run our city like an inner city ghetto where the community elders come to the rescue with shovels, rakes, and paint brushes every time there is a complaint.

"YOU DON'T LIKE TH SMELL OF DOG CRAP? BUILD A FENCE!" "JOIN ONE OF OUR COMMITTEES AND BEG LOCAL BUSINESSES LIKE GLACIER FOR HANDOUTS!"

How is that train coming? Anything close to Snoqualmie Ridge yet?

Evidently Fort Nisqually wasn't keen on picking up garbage and debris otherwise the city would clean up the crap laying in the historical site from last year's event.

RBS,

My favorite recent dessert menu - the TREE BOARD!?!?!

John E, Big Mr Decision Maker, organizing a committee to proclaim arbor day a success. I think there is a spot for him on the ROA board after all.

Hey big guy, how about doing something to keep our forests from burning down? Like construct a fire department?
