DuPont’s Cigar-Wine Packs Up
ByYesterday morning several of the parking spaces between ISushi and Starbucks were consumed by a moving truck. The large truck was being loading with fixtures and some inventory from Cigar-Wine, perhaps DuPont’s most esoteric shop. By this evening, the store was loading a new truck more of its inventory.

That is too bad. That strip has been stable compared to across Center Drive.
Shouldn’t surprise anyone. There’s a lot of people leaving.
What next? A Dollar Tree?
City of DuPont and DBA closing business in DuPont due to bad planning and rules.
Where will I find a Jethro Tull mirror and rolling papers now?
Maybe their just moving to a bigger building like Venture Bank building there is lots of parking there.
Lower the rent on the store fronts, maybe the business will stay!!!
DuPont’s business district has always been a disconnected mess. No vision.
No community development director so what do you expect?
No long range planning.
The mayor at the last council meeting brought forward a letter requesting applicants for a “planning manager” that should be in charge of what goes on in the city. Hopefully this will help find business that are willing to come to DuPont.
Too little too late. We needed the vision when there was still plenty of investment capital available.
I’m sure any of you that have lived here more than a day can guess what’s coming in this spot next? Another nail salon!
